  Just stayed the 1 night in Powell River at the Marine Inn. The Manager was there and very flexible and helpful. We got a room didn't like being by the road, so he gave us a room away from the road, no problem. The rooms were spacious even with two double beds. Had updated fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle, TV. They were doing some renovations still, painting, some rooms layouts needed some work (family stayed in another room) even so it felt clean. Would recommend for anyone needing a room in Powell River. Close to all the action, ferry landing, downtown. And the reasurant attached and ran by the manager. Excellent breakfast. Excellent.

  Updated room. However, everything else is very old school. Was visiting the family here, the staff are very friendly. Quite and nice views. Close to the shopping strip and beach.

  I had breakfast there yesterday and the food was great. The coffee was bitter and tepid and had dark bits floating in it. Our server was very polite. He seemed very focused on having a conversation with the only other customer in the diner...to the point of not offering us more coffee until we needed to leave. The owner just stood around, on his phone. The price of the meal was good though.

  The server messed up my order that's instructions were simple, as well another gentlemens order asked for two items to be omitted in exchange for a protein and received dbl order of the two items he didn't want. Cook made excellent breakfast thought. Props to the cook.
